About me
Alexa Antipas
Long story short, I love art. From a young age, I knew I wanted a creative career, whether it was in painting, design, or illustration, I just wanted to create.
I started working with Adobe Creative Suite early on. In high school, I was the Editor-in-Chief of our award-winning yearbook and earned several scholarships through the program. I went on to attend The Ohio State University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Retail Studies. Alongside my studies, I competed on the Varsity Fencing team, achieving All-American status and becoming an NCAA finalist. During my final years at university, I joined the Fashion Production Association, where I taught myself pattern-making and garment construction. Collaborating with three of my peers, we designed and showcased a ’60s-inspired collection to the community at the end of the school year.
After graduation, I continued my artistic journey, working for a custom fashion company and several interior design firms. When COVID-19 hit in 2020, I was laid off - like so many others. To keep my creativity flowing, I opened an Etsy shop, selling handmade dog bandanas and hair scarves. That soon expanded into embroidered sweatshirts, stickers featuring my own designs, keychains, and more! The exposure from my Etsy shop led to incredible opportunities, including designing logos and branding for businesses around Oregon, such as The Plant Doctors and Madeline Rose Photography.
I am currently the Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer at Shapiro Didway. In my spare time, you can find me at a local coffee shop, the dog park, watching scary movies, creating logos and designs, or exploring Seattle. I’m also available for freelance work to help bring your vision to life. Feel free to reach out at alwaysalexaco@gmail.com, I’d love to collaborate.
